I was wondering if anyone ever had a fiberglass sneak boat. I saw one while working and asked the guy about it. He says it has had damage on the bottom, but was urethaned. is this the correct repair or will it need to be cut out and refiberglassed? It looks a little small width wise, any experience on the stability of these? Or should i try to find something else? any suggestions? i've tried to find one on the internet to no avail. It actually says the sneak on the sides

Leslie,

The term 'sneak boat' is typically used for a one to two man, low profile, easily concealed smaller hunting craft (10-13'). Most notably, the Barnegat Bay Sneakbox (BBSB) is a 'sneak boat'. Do some searches here or google BBSB and you'll find plenty to read.

If I were to repair damage to my hull I would cut that section out and fiberglass in a new section of okoume. The urethane may just have been a layer over fiberglass to protect it from the sun.

You can check out a repair from Joel Mill http://www.boatbuilder.org/projectsbbIII.htm or Joe O. just recently posted a good tutorial on a repair to his hull that you can find on this board as well.
