Thinking about you guys on the East coast.

Dodged the bullet with the snow, went south of us and up to boston. Went out a hour ago and picked up sunday and mondays paper in the driveway, too cold to read. Been in the shop cleaning up all the repairs from after the season, couple of submerged guns and frozen chokes. Still have alot of project guns [need parts], good time to work.
Remember to remove your chokes and grease the whole choke, not just the threads after your season... More chokes freeze on body, not the threads...

We've recent record snowfall amounts here on Prince Edward Island since sunday...80 +cms (31 inches)

Today we had -6 degrees for the second morning in a row. There's 3 feet of snow on the ground. The snow does make it tough to get around off the beaten path. I agree with you Patrick, I hope the divers fair better up on Lake Ontario this year. The ice coverage maps show less ice this year, probably due to the fact that the cold temps kicked in a little later this winter.

On a more positive note, the Finger Lakes have froze up more than usual again this winter which means more lake trout fishing. The calm, sunny conditions yesterday made for a nice evening on the lake despite the cold temps.

It has been quite a month! I live in Sandwich, which is on the western end of Cape Cod, over the Sagamore Bridge... The high winds, cold and heavy snowfall have made it difficult for the road crews to keep up. Sandwich is a relatively small town, not used to this much snow, and does not have the heavy equipment needed to really move the snow. My street currently consists of a nice packed powder base... about one plow width wide.. makes it interesting when there is a car coming the other way.

Roofs are collapsing in the greater Boston area... Parking lots are difficult to maneuver... and the best part is we are expecting some significant RAIN on Sunday. This will create significant flooding/drainage problems and add even more weight to the snow.. the latest forecast predicts another 8 inch snowfall on Wednesday..

This could get even more "interesting" before spring!

It's -12 here this morning. I can keep the shop at 70 it just takes a lot more fuel oil. Good thing it's cheap this year. WOW I just went out to start the truck to warm it up and can see why the dogs weren't too keen about going out to do there business. I have coveralls in my truck and usually don't have a coat on when I leave for work but will have to say I have this week.
