This has "Lee Harker" written all over it

Well I'll be dogged....had to find out about this on the DHBP!!! I'll probably be floating around on the pontoon on our lake..which is a wide spot in the St.Joe River about 25mi. East. I know each year they have a huge hydroplane race where this is being held and always wanted to go watch it..always missed it by a day or so though.
 
Well there ya go! Just throw another 5 gallon tank onboard and head your pontoon west...spend a few hours there and get a fantastic cruise on the St. Joe to boot...I can't think of a better way to spend a warm Michigan summer day (assuming the river is navigable the whole distance)

Right now the river is down pretty good...there is a super low bridge south of Centreville..and then you have the Sturgis Dam. I'd have a hell of a time portaging the pontoon over those obstacles.
