Every once in a while lady luck comes into play when you duck hunt. chili coming back with the first gadwall.

Ha!! I doubt that. Next you will be zooming in on all your photos before taking them. I hope it is an easy and inexpensive repair on your camera for you.
 
Awesome banded gray duck Al! I think thats the first one ive ever seen or even heard of.. love the pics to wish i had a camera to take pics like that.
 
Thanks for the kind comments, Robert. Unfortunately, my Canon 50D is as dead as that banded gadwall. The good news is that I was able to take that series of shots with it before it quit. I'm sending it in to get repaired very soon. So from now on I'll be using my little point and shoot Olympus SP570UZ. I took these shots the next day with it.

Chili made an exceedingly long retrieve on this woodie. I'll say at somewhere in the neighborhood of 200/250 yards.
