My son outgrew his neoprene waders last year and will need a new pair for the upcoming season.
He had the Mack's Bayou kids waders. They wore well. Kept him warm and dry.
He is now too big for kids sizes I think. He is 12y.o., about 100-110lbs, and approximately 5'2" tall. His shoe size is a 6.5-7 men's.
I was thinking about a pair of Lacrosse neoprenes similar to the Mack's. The only reason for the brand change is because I get a discount at a vendor that Carey's the Lacrosse brand. They look pretty similar.
I hunt out of breathable waders. So I thought I could also move him to breathable, but was afraid of longevity with a younger kid wearing breathable waders.
What do you guys think? Would it be just plain crazy to put a 12y.o. boy in breathable waders?
