Three Wisemen

Had a little bit of time this afternoon to head down to the lake to run the dog and see what was around for birds. As usual the divers are here thick. There is not a hint of ice on the big pond, sure wish we would have had that Lake Michigan zone this year. We sat and watched these 3 buffies for a half or so as they were on their search for food close to shore. Watching birds is something I dont do often during the season, unless its from behind the barrell ;), so watching these guys in their element feeding is pretty neat.

Glad you had so much fun. I enjoyed looking at those shots, Andrew. Some day when you have more of a chance to watch birds you'll most likely find it interesting along with the fact that it will help you when it is time to look at them down the barrel.

Great pics! Buffies are one of the most entertaining ducks to watch., let you get nice and close and they are always busy.

Cool Shots!

Something about those little "Butterballs" that I always enjoy.

I hardly shoot them anymore, but I ALWAYS have a few Bufflehead decoys out.

They have even been known to keep me from falling asleep on slow days.

Thanks for posting,

Jon
