We are leaving in a few minutes to go to Jonesboro, Arkansas to breed her. Travis put me in touch with a pro (Chris Akins of Waterdog TV fame) who handles a really nice Golden named Redi. Chris got me to Redi's owner who agrees a Redi x Cassie litter makes a lot of sense - strong field lines with a proven outcross giving genetic diversity which is really hard to get in field Goldens. More reports to come. Wish Cassie luck with her first attempt for a litter!
 
Good luck Cassie! You didn't tell me that you worked it out with redi afterall, thats great news. I got the feeling Bill C. was dragging his feet a bit, I hope it works out for him and his dog to.

Bill was great and I wish the very best for him and Mookie. He has an outstanding dog and it would have been a super litter. I just had to fall back on the advice of Dr. Brian Story to do a live breeding based on Cassie being 6 for her first litter.

Good luck. I'm sure your boys will the puppies and they are very cute, at first. By the time they have been around a couple months you and Cassie will be ready for them to go to their homes!! Are you planning on keeping a pup?

We aren't planning on keeping one from this letter. At least not now but you never know what happens when three kids get attached.

Will EB Ready ("Ready") is owned by George King (Jonesboro, AR), trained by Chris Akin, and bred by Chris Scott. Ready is out of the litter Will E Hunt (GRHRCH) x Cedarpond Kachina (GRHRCH). That litter is the first and only Golden GRHRCH (Grand Hunting Retriever Champion) x GRHRCH. If you look down through the history of GRHRCH there have only been 9 Goldens. Ready needs only one more pass to make it 10. Great hunting lines.

I rented that movie for them. Ageless classic. They do have a dog though, Sassssssseeeeee, as Caroline calls her.
