Been shooting trap using one of my hunting shotguns in our local fall trap league for many years. It is an 8 week season that along with a practice round or two, I'll typically shoot 500 or so shells a year and not looking to shoot any more than this. Anyhow looking at buying a trap specific gun preferable in a single shot. Looking at a Browning BT-99 for two reasons-I love browning guns and the BT-99 seems to be hands down the most recommended gun regardless of brand. Are there any others I should be considering in the under $1,500 range? Also what barrel length would you recommend?
