I did, with my camera! I was out in the garage this morning when I heard a hell of a racket. I looked up to see a sudden "slugfest" starting up on the road to the shop. So, I grabbed my camera off the ATV and ran to see what was going on. Trukeys were yelling and fighting everywhere. I guess one flock crossed into anoth one out in the white oaks becasue all of a sudden I saw a big long beard chasing 5 jakes that wanted no part of that Tom. They had ran in cirles twice infront of me and by th eime I got the camera up the Tom had all five of the jakes running up the pasture fence line. Those jakes were screaming bloody muder. That Tom was pissed!
Here's the Tom that was causing all the trouble. He finally quit chasing the jakes and went back to his harem. The last I saw of the running jakes, they were heading up the mountain.
I took the ATV on up to the shop to get a drill for Judy (she's installing new curtains this weekend) and when I got there I looked down on the food plot and there was another flock feeding on the bugs and fresh grasses.
When I hit the telephoto, I could see it was a different Tom who has two middle feathers missing out of his tail. Nice opener today. Now I have to go find somewhere to hunt.
