I have a 12ga s x s Ugarteburu (not Ugartechea) shotgun with probably at least a grade 2 wood,30inch barrels, extractors, boxlock, engraving of dogs on side and duck on bottom, double triggers, beavertail forearm, serial no. 37737. Also the barrels have 12-76 stamped on them along with all the other Spanish proof marks. Can anyone out there tell me anything about this gun such as age, value, and if the 12-76 stamping makes it 23/4 or 3 inch chambers? This is a nice condition gun with nice wood and nice case coloring.I originally got this gun thinking (and was told by the seller)it was a Ugartechea but on closer inspection the barrel stamping on top along rib says Ugarteburu-eibar. YA, i need to start reading the fine print before I purchase another gun! I just discovered that there is such a manufacturer but not much to be found on the internet. Also, I thought it was strange that it has Eibar by the name but on the rib it has "Ames Barcelona"? I was hoping someone out there might have a book(s) on spanish made guns.
