Update!!Baby prayer request

Brian, Godbless you and your family. My prayers go out to you and yours. God always has a plan, there are trial and hardtimes but his love is always there.

Dear Brian,

I have been lifting your son up in my prayers, and will continue to do so.

27 years ago, our youngest daughter Corey was born with a cleft palate. Hers did not emerge, but there was a hole in the roof of her mouth.

Surgery and speech therapy followed, with thousands of prayers. Today, she is an absolutely beautiful young woman with the singing voice of an angel.

Fear not, our Lord has this in His hands,

Brian,
My prayers to you and your family. Being involved in the medical industry, I have seen the amazing things the great surgeons of this country can do with cleft lips. You should feel comfortable that if the little one does have this defect that it can be fixed. Again, my thoughts and prayers for the little one.

Being a father of three girls I can relate to your fears. My first daughter was ten days late and frank breach (but down instead of head) which resulted in her hips not being developed as good as they should have been by the time of her birth. She had to wear what I called a parachute harness for the first three months to keep her hips aligned so they would develop. That was at the IWK in Halifax. My second daughter had jaundice and had to stay in the hospital for about a week after she was born. My third daughter only has one kidney the other never developed and is just a cyst. So they were concerned that her remaining kidney would be able to handle things on it's own. After many ultrasounds and various tests they determined that the one kidney had developed into a bigger robust kidney and she is fine, although it is not recommended that she do such things as play hockey, ride a motor bike or horseback riding. Anything that carry's a high risk of trama happening. She was cared for by CHEO in Ottawa. My three are running non stop, legs and mouths. Helping me put in wood today their ages are 12,10 and Bad or I mean 7. There are some fine childrens hospitals across Canada and the US and I'm sure that everything will turn out fine for you. You will be in our thoughts.

Thank you all for your prayers! The LORD took care of "Brock" and todays u/s looked normal! No need to go to the specialist. From our family to yours-Thank You!

Of course I'll be sticking my fingers in his mouth examining him when he comes out, but this is great news for us.

It was nice to tell my wife that the "duck boat family" was praying and thinking of us.

Thank you!

Brian

My thought were with you and your family as i scrolled down reading the posts. It was exciting to come across your second post. Glad to hear it all appears normal.

Brian,

I bet everyone in your family had a HUGE sigh of relief with that news. Glad to hear the outlook is good.

Great news! A neonatologist used an ultrasound to rule out several concerns and saved my wife from having to go through amniocentesis. Our beautiful little girl will be seven soon.
