Many thanks for all of your thoughts, prayers, stump dances, and good karma. We have used it all and then some.

Laura had a trace of cancer in one of the three lymph nodes they removed and tested. This was different from what the surgeon said immediately following the surgery, and it means that she will get chemo and radiation. She will get a three-drug "cocktail" once every three weeks for six "cycles", and then four to six weeks of radiation. Her first treatment is December 11.

Today was her first day back at work, three weeks to the day after her surgery; she made the full day, but was definitely ready to come home and rest up. Guys, this is one incredible woman, and I truly "married up".



Now, for the challenge to Eric...

An acquaintance has a barrel for a Hambone call that has no insert. You are the only person I know who is making a call even remotely based on the Amaden design...care to try and make an insert to fit the barrel?

I have two Hambones I can loan you to measure the tone boards, etc. if you are interested.

So glad to hear Laura has come through her surgery and on the rebound. I think everyone also realizes she is not going to have fun with the chemo so the "thoughts, prayers, stump dances, and good karma" will have to keep coming a little longer. We are good for it.

I've had almost zero shop time for the past month with a flight test just around the corner. Now that duck season is here I won't be doing much turning until February. If you are not in a hurry I'd be glad to make a new insert. Just let me know.

I know you married up like most of us. She is a real trooper for going back to work. Keep up the good fight.

If I didn't trust you, I wouldn't offer...you know that. But yes, I've seen what the Hambone calls, Taylor Made, and others are fetching these days...I'll bet Mr. Amaden is laughing at all the fuss.

I think the guy will probably want you to try and make the insert; let me know what you'll charge him and I'll send it along...

We need to schedule another hunt! Have been twice this year and just watched "the glint off the oxygen tanks" on the ducks both times...
