Utah Rocks!
The above two word title I borrowed from the Arches National Park. Bev and I took a three day trip that started on Sunday. What a great time we had even though the weather was somewhat temperamental.
Sunday was “quite” breezy but thankfully it was at our tail and helped all the way to Moab, Utah. On Monday half the state of Utah was flying in the air and by afternoon you couldn’t see any mountains because the flying sand was so thick. I thought Bev’s Camry was going to get sand blasted for a while. Then on Tuesday when we were heading home, we ran into a snowstorm between Monticello and Cortez, CO. All we had to do was adjust our speed and all went well. Talk to about any one from the west or southwest and they will tell you----“Want to see a change? Just wait for 15 minutes!”
On this trip we were fortunate enough to go through Native American tribal lands of the Navajo’s, Ute’s, and the Zuni’s. Thank goodness there are still spots in our great continent that still look like they did hundreds of years ago.
The highlight of our trip had to be Arches National Park. What was so wonderful for me was seeing some of the sights for the second time. I got goose bumps when we walked to see the “landscape” arch. I rounded a corner and instantly was taken back 59 years when my mother and father took my sister and me to this park. I remembered that particular sight like I had seen it just last year.
Here are a few pictures that Bev and I took along the way. Matt, thanks so much for all of your help. We had the time of our lives.

The ultimate in phallic symbols!
Thank goodness wise conservationists decided to save this beautiful spot on our Earth. It will drop your jaw for sure.
Landscape arch. I was flooded with childhood memories.
The Lasal mountains in the background.
When one sees a sight such as this it leaves you in such awe. Totally amazed and at the same time wondering how anything this beautiful could exist. We are very lucky indeed.
