Used to hunt south n east of Houston. No good news for you. Anywhere I went was by boat. Watch out for the gators on a warm day.

I hunted a spot called Peach Point or Peach Park or something, a WMA, somewhere south of Houston, with my old BUddy Trae, who used to post here.
But I am not sure where it was. It's a get inline in your car at midnight, draw for blinds spot. Supposed to be good if they have water. When I hunted it, we got a few shots and one mottled duck.

This might be it:

I know of a few good walk in spots around your area. But they are at least 3 feet deep of water and you'd need to stand up so might be too deep for you.

:)

Miss you in Kentucky buddy.

It will an interesting season, Kristan. Most of your time will be spent looking, listening, and talking. What kind of salesman are you? Good luck and I sure hope you find a spot or two that get you through January. I'll bet in the ensuing months you will be out looking for that ultimate spot. Who knows when you meet that one rancher or farmer who will say, "Yes, you can hunt here!" Good luck.
