Sorry Lee...I think I may have found the site myself at about that time and deleted the post hoping to clear it before pestering you again. They havn't answered me yet,so maybe next week I'll find out. I'm just crossing my fingers that they have the part on-hand,,,I don't want to have to give up my baby. Thanks for the lead.

Did they have a parts diagram for your gun? When I order parts for my old 11-48's I just click on the part number and it says whether it's in stock or not..then I order it. Which winchester do you have?

My Dad had a 11-48. I used it when he was out of town on account of it held more shells than my Savage 94-C. Wow that old gun killed on both ends. I took it dove hunting and when I got home the remington logo was bruised into my 14 yr old shoulder. Great old gun but it was a Kickmaster.

Best,

Harry

I never noticed that they kicked any worse than my 870 or 1100's. They don't have recoil pads (from the factory). I have 3, a 410, 28ga and a 12ga. The 12 was given to me by my father in law and has a poly choke on it. I take it out once a season with bismuth for nostalgia's sake. Killed the biggest GE I ever got with it.

I have a 1400 auto that I'm looking for a carrier right now. I also have a 1300 speed pump and a super x 1 from my grandpa that I would still be shooting if I wasn't afraid something might happen and I wouldn't be able to replace the part.

Only gun I ever owned that had worse felt recoil than the old 11-48 was a Winchester 101 pigeon grade. To my way of thinking the 1100 and 11-87 just don't have much kick.
My $.02.
Best,
Harry

Since we're on the subject....anyone have a 20 winchester out there that might be persuaded to "Right" the price? My daughter has outgrown her .22-.22magnum and her .410.
