I went to a gun show last night, a guy I new had a couple deoys on his table so I got them for $50.00. My questions are, is this a new Bean decoy? What's the story behind this Decoys Unlimited black who carved them? The bluebill say's George Graham Wooler Ontario. I thought it was a Hamilton decoy but it's actually a Eastern Ontario decoy. I think I did pretty good what do you guy's think?

Decoys Unlimited R.D. #5 Wattsburg Road Erie, Penna. Jack Sweet began the company in 1961. At one time I had many Decoy Unlimited decoys. They are very good decoys.

You did very good with your purchase, at a great price! The Wood Duck looks like a newer Bean, but I'm not sure..........

Thanks Vince, I googled Jack Sweet and bit more info came up and more pics of his decoys. I also found a pic of the bean and the guy was asking $175.00 because it was oversized. I think thats a tad high. Lots of info on LL. Bean decoys.

Wooler is just a stone throw from me and that bluebill looks like someone tried to copy a Baker decoy.
If you ever need any info on decoys contact Steve Lloyd in Stirling Ont at www.decoyinfo.com ,,he can tell you pretty much anything on them.
Rich where abouts are you from ,,it only says Ont and I haven"t seen to many of of us on here from there?,,,,,Chuck

I'm from Smithville, I have hunted up your way and fish the Bay when ever I can. I have seen the fellow you mentioned at the sportsman show. I'll have to e-mail him some pics of the blocks I've accumalated.

Do you or have you hunted the Crysler area?My brother has a friend with a farm that we are suppose to go hunt.I have heard the geese are plentyful in that area but we have yet to make it up there.
I,m right on Brighton bay across from Presquile Park,,is Smithville right on Hwy #15 ,,Ive been down through there but can't remember

A friend of mine has a trailer on Big Island. We hunt and fish out of his place. I'm unfamiliar with the Crysler area. Smithville is close to the armpit of Ontario. A.K.A. Hamilton. We Hunt both Great lakes, mostly Erie and farms around here.
