Hello all,
I am curious to see where any forum members from around the St. Louis / St. Charles, MO area put in when hunting the Miss and MO rivers. I am somewhat new to big river hunting (mostly have hunted lakes and smaller rivers) and am curious to see what my options are for boat ramps on the mississippi and MO rivers that are fairly close (withing 20 miles or so of the confluence of the two). Any opinions and suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,
John

J, there used to be one off of 270 right above the chain of rocks area,on the missouri side,I think there is one below chain of rocks on the Illinois side,if you are new to river hunting,be very, very careful, current is swift. Portage De Sioux has one but that is pretty far north, hope this helps Brian Rippelmeyer

Thank you Brian, definitely helps. I definitely know how dangerous the rivers can be especially as high as they are. You can't have enough respect for them.
