Whitney specs

Have a look at the lines and offsets for the cruising boat Delta here:

http://dragonflycanoe.com/stephens/progress7.html

It is described as an evolution of the BBSB. Take the lines and offset for the 13' boat and increase the spacing of the forward stations to stretch the boat out to 16' or so, flatten the sheer and lower it a bit at the bow and you should have something very close to a Whitney style hull.

I've played with it a bit in cad programs and it looks pretty good. Some day I'll get around to building it.

Donald Oakes who posts on here now and again has some connection with the Whitney family and rights to the design (I think). He may be able to help you out. I think he may also manufacture and sell the Seacoast Gunner, which, if my memory serves, is the fiberglass version of the Whitney sculler.

Hey Craig, thanks for the link, will have to study that some more.

Charlie, have talked to Donald, and he seems a little hesatant about giving out the specs to his boat.
