Who still Guns Wildfowler Decoys

I grew up gunning over my Dad's Wildfowlers - mostly these cork-bodied Blacks:
I recent years, I have been gathering up some Superior Model balsa-bodied birds for a puddle duck rig. I look for birds that have lost their original paint so are no longer "collectible". I seal them and prime them and put my own paint scheme on them. All are from Old Saybrook or Quogue.
Most are Mallards...
...and Blacks....
but I have a few Pintails, too.
I have been gunning them on local small waters - beaver ponds and such. Slotted (compartmented) decoy bags - I like the ones Dave Clark makes - keep them in good shape.

I don't own any but have always liked the style of Wildfowler decoys. You definitely need to hunt that rig!!

Your are a very fortunate man to have such a wonderful rig of Point Pleasant Wildfowlers in what I deem to be Mighty Fine condition, gunning paint, and well used "patina". Two Thumbs Up!
At the present time I do not hunt over the Wildfowler Decoys I'm caretaker of. During the 1960's and 1970's my cousin and I had a small rig of Point Pleasant Mallard Decoys in original paint. They worked just fine in the "swamps" and strip mine ponds that we hunted often. For some reason my cousin decided to repaint them... By then I was carving my own rigs. After my cousin passed I don't know what happened to those decoys.

How big are they? Never seen them except here and other places online, but they look good, and appear not to have the tailboards that get beat up on my yard sale Soule/LL Beans and also on my more recent corks from Jim Higgins. I think Jim's decoys look a lot better, but those oversized Soules really do seem to pull ducks, especially late season black ducks, better.

The blackducks, brant, and pintails are 19 inches long and the canada geese are 22 inches long. No tail boards all one piece.
