Winter Back!

I’m in northeast N.C.
a north to NW wind will drive the water out, it’s about a foot and a half low right now.
The high tides get worse because we get heavy storms in spring and summer so the swamps get full and can’t drain with a high tide

See the same thing down here on Mobile Bay, a strong north wind will result in water levels 6" to 2' below predicted tides.
Gotta be careful where you set up, especially since we only have one low & one high per day. Pick the wrong spot and you can get stranded for 8 hours.

My plans were to stay inside this weekend but I ended up outside for a lot of it...not hunting or fishing. I've had shot-cicles, goatee cubes, chapped lips and a face covered with snow. It has dropped down to -13 from our high around -10 today. Going to be under -20 tonight. If it were a little warmer I'd be finding some fireworks to shoot a few off. Got to love SD on new years...MERICA!

Now back to Dixie and their issues with lows in the 20s. [;)] [whistle]

We are probably looking at the possibility of 7 days straight below freezing- very unusual here this early, and any still water will be frozen solid.

Carl,

I would be all over hunting those winds and temperatures.

Mike

If I didn’t have family stuff and work I’d be out there this week it will be Saturday before I can hunt again.
