Wood floor in aluminum boat

I do not have any epoxy left to seal up some wood for a floor I am putting in a boat. What else could be used to seal it up? I have heard of using Spar Urethane. Then I need to put paint over whatever I use.

Spar seems to work fine. Poly resin from Walmart would work too.

Dating back to the ninth century and still in use is the following recipe for boat wood floors:

1 quart linseed oil
1 pint pine tar
1/2 pint Japan Drier

Note: Pine pitch in horse country is much cheaper than from marine suppliers
