Thanks Bob for posting such nice pictures.I love Mystic Seaport, and have been there on a couple occasions.
I belonged to the Cat Boat Association for many years and had a 17' Herman Cat (Later Cape Cod Shipbuilding),
that I sailed here on Lake Hartwell. They are great workboats and cruisers,so I especially liked the Big Cat in the Pic.

Joe,
Cool boat, they moved it out a day early and got to the mouth of the river to find a bit more wind than they had started with at mystic. Boy what a site to see a catboat that size under full power with no reefs in the sail. No motor in the boat so it is a sail only proposition.

A sight to see for sure.A big Cat can be too much to handle in a big wind without a reef tucked in,but allot
of wind gets dumped whe she heels up and puts a rail down.Scary though.I now have a auxillary
sailboat.....OARS!My 1880's designed Duckboat in fiberglass,the Melonseed.

Thanks for the pictures Bob. Neat looking boats. That's one place I'd like to see in person. Hopefully one day I'll make it.
