working the AWS

Well I took my 13 week old AWS, Benelli, out to a Phesant farm on sat. the gun shots didn't bother him at all, im happy about that. He wasn't real intrested in hunting the birds, he pretty much didnt go more than 10 feet from me. he was although very intrested in the birds after they were in hand. he's still a pup so im sure it can only get better. All in all the little fella did very well i cant hardly wait to get him out again for some more work.

Gary March who frequently posts here and over at MLB has a terrific AWS named "River." He could probably tell you a lot about how he's trained for waterfowling.

Of course, Gary lives in waterfowl Valhalla ;-)
