WTB momarsh fatboy DP ANY FOR SALE????

I am located on eastern long island, NY and I am looking for a one man boat to put in the back on my pick up, No trailer. Most of the boats I have looked at have been 10 to 12 feet. Ranging from 55 to 90 pounds. I like boats with large cockpits so I can take my lab with me. Really not interested in anything I can fit my dog in. Here's what I am thinking of ordering. If I can't find something used. http://bobcatboats.com/...s_PIROGUE-PI.php.htm If someone has something similar to this please PM or call 516-816-6355. Must be light weight and fit in the back of my pickup. Figured I would post on here before I order a brand new one.
Thanks, Paul.

Paul,

I have a Carsten Puddler that I use for training my dog, but I have two other boats and could part with this one.

Paul.. I would go with one of those Momarsh Fatboy DP's, its like a lightweight BBSB, a lot of guys put them in their pickup bed, you have plenty of room for you & your dog plus you can pole it standing up, paddle it like a kayak or put a small motor on it. Pretty versatile little boat...

You hunt out of it layout style and it has a section behind you for your dog, the thing floats in just a few inches of water and they sell a blind for the boat with hinged grass flaps to cover the cockpit.

Visit their website at www.momarsh.com or go to YouTube and search for Momarsh videos. If I didnt already have my boat, I would go out and buy two of these!

Bob M on here is from Nassau County, he bought one recently... ask him how he likes it, maybe you can even arrange to meet him to see one before you make a purchase. Ira, the owner of Momarsh is also on here as "Ira" and has a reputation as being very helpful...

Thanks for all the insight Chris, they have been high on my list but a bite pricey. Maybe someone has one used they would like to sell. I will try and get in touch with Ira for some additional info. Momarsh Fatboy DP's do seem to be the most versatile.

Yes, pricey... BUT, my father always told met to buy the best, because you will only have to buy it once. Much better than replacing something down the road...

Let me know what you end up getting and if you ever want to do some hunting together, my boat holds 2 guys and I can tow a small boat as well.

Paul... you should go to the waterfowl show in Tuckerton, NJ this weekend. Everything under the sun having to do with duck hunting... including duckboats of all shapes and sizes! I went last year, had a great time. You might find what you are looking for down there....

Chris

Thanks chris. I actually decided yesterday we are heading down there sunday morning. I think i'll find something down there. I haven't been in a few years and it's a great show!!

Paul, thats a decent price... you might want to get in touch with that guy, see some photos and find out how much freight shipping would be....

If you want "independent" photos let me know as I do get to that area for work.

For shipping get quotes out of Winona, MN.

They are getting closer.
