Just got back from our Yukon trip and I'm going through all the pictures. This one struck me as interesting. :)

The ducks were swimming cautiously under the watchful eye of this mama and her youngster. I noticed they tended to stay near or under overhanging wood.

This little guy's song brightened the mood.

Special thanks to Yukon Mike for showing us around. He makes a great tour guide.

I have tons of pictures still to sort through. I may post a few more as I find them.

I think this one is my favorite so far. It is the Yukon River at half past midnight.

Great Pixs. I just came back from New Brunswick, and we spent a lot of time with the NB people, and entertainment is minimal during the long winters, especially last winter. So music is the staple, and so are the poems of Robert Service from "The Spell of the Yukon" and other titles. This past week, we were treated to "Dangerous Dan McGrew" and others and all delivered with more definition and animation than any English professor I ever had.
Gosh, your pixs now really resonate

Thanks James.

The night I took the picture of the moon over the Yukon River we were reading The Cremation of Sam McGee. The picture is taken about a mile or two downstream of Lake Laberge. The best part was finding an old barge in the woods beside the river and laughing about it being the one in the poem.
