    Another sunfish conversion.

I like the motorwell concept. Most I have seen cut the last 2 feet off the hull and lose the potential flotation. Think you will need abit more power but my first sneakboat had a 4 hp.

    Another sunfish conversion.

Pete, I have a Sunfish hull I was considering making into a layout boat. I just don't need another boat to work on right now though. If we get the urge to go after sea ducks I might do it. Joe

I really like the layout of the blind plus the base being high and dry. Looks like you could heat it easily as well. Would love to build something like that but we hunt public land on Long Island. I am planning a base similar to what you built but setting up a Tanglefree panel blind when we...

    July Workbench

I love carving Buffleheads. I picked a nice redwood table out of the trash that I made the lower section from. The rest is 5/4 white pine. I selected lightest I could find at H-D and then I hollowed it. Makes a lightweight decoy.

    July Workbench

I made 8 Buffleheads for next year. I always had 4 of my Buffleheads set outside the rig for esthetics. Last year a pair of Hooded Mergansers decoyed to them. Ready for paint.

    Alaskan Yellow Ceder

If it is light enough I would use it.

Came out okay. I will make a few more for this year's rig. I like that it will offer a high profile and be visible from a distance. It should hunt well.

Got the skin on the prototype. I thought I would get a better feel for how it will look finished but with the ribs showing like a starving horse it is difficult to envision. I will have to give it a quick paint job to make up my mind if it is good to go or need some modification before...

In the interest of making lighter large decoys I tried my hand on canvas over wire decoys. Did some Scoters and a Canada goose. I thought maybe Buffleheads would be a good subject and I did a quick design. Prototype in work. 11 long body.

    Barnegat Bay Duck Ark

Damn near a 30 footer. In reality a powered floating blind. Relocatable according to the wind. What did you use for grass - looks good. Joe

Can anyone give some knowledge on these decoys?

a profile photo would help. It looks like it could be a Wildfowler decoy

Ken, What does the bottom look like? Joe

Can anyone give some knowledge on these decoys?

The only decoy you have worth anything is the puddler.

    What did I luck into?

Natural cork would date them pre-war. I like the profile and head detail. Made by a craftsman.
