Whats funny, it caught my attention because when I saw it come up on the decoy mold tab I have saved, I thought to myself... who in their right mind would want a lb of lead hanging from a decoy lol. Then this thread came up hours later. Good luck in finding one, Ill keep my eyes open as well. Im CONSTANTLY on ebay looking for collector stuff. Decoy molds and duck calls primarily.

I would definitely appreciate it the help, very rare thing to find and I'm not having much luck. Thank you for your help.

Cant guarantee anything, but I always try and help when I can. Ill make a tab right now on my ebay and if one pops up ill shoot the listing your way. Reach out to this seller and see if he has anymore laying around. Not really supposed to, but you may even talk a deal out with the guy who bought it for a little more money. Only other thing I can think... see if you can get one casted and then see if you can find someone to CNC a copy for you. Might look into bait making guys like AI fishing or fat guys fishing molds and I bet they could whip something up for you pretty quick for a small fee.

Ok I am pretty good at working angles. Here is a seller who is selling a dozen of these weights for $73. First thing I would do is ask this guy if he has an extra mold willing to sell. If he doesnt, then I would work real hard in finding someone who could make you a replica mold with a CNC and just buy a lot of these and have one scanned and CNC'd. Otherwise, you might be waiting to find a needle in a haystack.

I messaged him and he was not interested in selling or helping me out.
Bummer. Ya reach out to a few of the fishing lure places. Epic baits, ai fishing, fat guys fishing, BTS bait molds.... they make molds like this all the time but for molten plastisol to be poured but guys use the exact same molds for lead all the time. If they wont do it, I bet you could find a local CNC shop to do it for you. Again good luck, let us know what you come up with and I will keep my eyes open for you as well.

If you have a weight and the company is out of business and you really want a mold, make yourself a mold from what you have. I'm no expert, but have done one sided lead molds from 2 part silicone molding material. A 2 sided mold is not that much harder from what I have seen.

Had the mold decades ago - lent and never returned, I believe. I do have dozens of the anchors - but would hardly pay to ship to the Central Flyway. (I may bring them to the SSWA Duckboat Show on Long Island this weekend.)

I switched from ring anchors to mushrooms for most of my rig long ago. One reason was that the lip on these dug into the breasts of our Herter's Model 72 Durlon foam.

Best of luck!

I think it would be several hundred dollars to have an aluminum mold done. This is based on the fact that the basic machining I've had done to add extra eyes to a mold cost more than a few bucks several years ago.

This is 2 dozen for $73 with free shipping! That is a very good deal. Less than $3 each. If you can do it cheaper, I would be surprised. I am always scrounging lead and have a stockpile, but it takes hours to mold and propane to burn to make that many weights. There is a sweet spot on the lead temp and the mold temp. Go to fast and you have weak anchors, go too slow and they don't pour smooth, and you need to recast it.
