In A Word, DRY

Yikes, not good in the traditional survey area at all.
Seemed like Alaska and the East were the only areas that could see "normal;' production.
I don't think we should expect Liberal season & limits for 2026-27.

Been through this before. Upland hunting should be good. No matter wet or dry we always went west, and to Canada. I'm certain that others on this site did so also. All part of the cycle of Life. Very interesting to read that white geese populations are on decline, and the damage to the breeding ground mostly did not happen. Hopefully Goodbye to the Snow Goose Killing Madness.

my 2 cents

Very interesting on the top item after years of reading about impending doom, and I agree wholeheartedly on the second item. I can't stand the "whack'em and stack'em" attitudes stories about snow geese. If you aren't going to eat it, don't shoot it. It is a sin against nature in my book, and is very un-sportsman like.

Back to the topic. Mid-continent and southern hunters will feel the brunt of this, us northeastern hunters get very few birds from that area until you get to Virginia and below. Glad to hear the Eastern conditions are good, that bodes well for us Jersey duck hunters.
