You jinxed me!
So...long story long...
I poured the clear a couple days after the color, and ran out of resin. Stopped and picked up another gallon kit, and got it up to the wood edges. Worked out all the bubbles, thought all was good, let it sit for 5 days or whatever the recommended cure was, went out to prep for varnish and lo and behold a bubble of air escaped from the black cork after the surface had skinned over and it was literally bulging the otherwise super smooth surface. So, sand it down, take a syringe and fill with least amount of slop, trying to completely fill it is. Cure again...sand again...on to varnish. Thought I was on the final coat of varnish the other night, come out in the morning to inspect...a freaking fly landed and got stuck in it. Ugh! One more sanding Friday night, yesterday moved it out on the porch.
Not easy to get good pictures as it seems to reflect something in any light. (the striping is the beadboard ceiling)
