Thank you. I was not aware of the book. The photos I have seen from the Yachting article are poor.Rich I will search my library I have Slade dales book with pictures of sheldrake in it.
I found the old website with photos. I was interested in the hatch cover. It is different then most hatches I have seen.Rich I will search my library I have Slade dales book with pictures of sheldrake in it.
I didn’t know that Tom’s River had a maritime museum with sneakboxes. Do you plan on building one?
Great minds think alike! I had not seen this before but made a 2 piece cover for the Sam Hunt I restored. Mine overlaps, and the clasps allow for a padlock to secure what is inside.I found the old website with photos. I was interested in the hatch cover. It is different then most hatches I have seen.
Mine is very functional, but grossly over built. I would do similar, but reduce the bulk significantly. I can stand on mine! It is very nice to put the decoys in and lock it and keep eyes, and rain out. Thanks, I have been thinking of a multi piece hatch cover. I was thinking in sections for ease of storage on board. Use wingnuts and bolts to fasten the parts together for a full length hatch.
