Today was frustrating…
I ran out of fiberglass cloth, I am low on resin and I have to wait a couple more days for the boat to cure before I can prime. No one in my area stock fiberglass supplies so I wanted something else to do.
I am not a craftsman or an engineer and I dont know exactly what inspired me to build these today other than trying to maximize the number of decoys I can haul in my BBSB. I can usually carry about two dozen deeks and I try to include a goose floater or two, as well as a dozen duck silhouettes. The silos only work for a short time when the tide is actually low enough and placing them and retirieving them is a nightmare of two foot deep or worse mud. Then I got to thinking what if I carried goose silhouettes and remembered seeing spreaders for floating silos and, after a search here, I found some design patterns. It took forever to find them though because I couldn’t remember what they were called exactly.
Anyways, thanks to this board, it was a simple project. They arent perfect but they will work PERFECTLY for me. The silos and the boards can stow under the bow- space I never really utilized before.
