Thanks Lee, I used Titebond II and sawdust and cranked out 30 tonight. Now they are drying and later this week I will apply a second and third layer.

I was hoping for a stronger, more durable coating. Plus I would never have to worry about rot. I've also thought about using dust from composite decking.
