Doing away with the plastic myself. Going burlapped foam or restle coated foam. Like was said above, I think they ride better than plastic.

My grandfather worked in a foundary and made them himself. I believe he used the old Herters 72 diver with the internal (flush) weight and the Brant (81?)from the same era. I have the Bluebill (diver) head mold as well as the Canvasback head mold. Still trying to find the Brant head mold. Also...

Just dusted off my grandfathers molds and ordered some eps beads. Cleaned thirty years of dust with some scotchbrite and hopefully making some decoys next week. If not making a heck of a mess tryin!

If it's affordable it would make a great big water boat blind or use for hauling hunters and layouts!
