    E Allen Decoy Project

I'm redoing about 5 dozen E Allen decoys. The decoys are about 10 years old and the paint adherence has been really good. I've taken good care of them so YMMV. The bills all have nails and carbon arrow shafts so they've held up well too. I'm re-keeling with composite decking, adding glass...

    Coffin Blind Help/Suggestions

Dave, I'm adding the runners hoping the coffin will pull easier more than to protect the hull. To attach the runners with the epoxy would you just place a lot of weight on them to hold them in place while the the epoxy hardens? I was afraid I'd have to screw the runners in place? I'm a...

    Coffin Blind Help/Suggestions

I'd like to add bottom runners to my coffin blind. Anyone know how I should do this? I hunt this in about 6" of water most of the time. I also need to repair the small crack pictured. I've got some West Epoxy. I don't have any experience working with or purchasing fiberglass. Thanks...

Help/Advice - E Allen Decoys and cork dust

Hey George - greetings. I've had really good luck with Titebond II/cork dust painted with Golden paint. My diver rig has lots of them and they are really durable. It makes it really easy to touch up/change colors too. Poor man's cork decoys? Denny

Help/Advice - E Allen Decoys and cork dust

Thanks guys. Lou - After 10 years I'm ready for a change. I'm going to leave my diver E Allens like they are but I'm going to change the mallards. I'm hoping I don't have to strip them. Lee - thanks for the heads up. I've used Titebond II on lots of burlapped decoys I coated with cork...

Help/Advice - E Allen Decoys and cork dust

I've got nearly 2 dozen E Allen mallard decoys that are about 10 years old. They've held up great, including the paint. I've always felt they were too shiny on sunny days. I'm thinking of coating them with cork dust/Titebond 3. Has anyone done this to their E Allens? I"m looking for help...

    My Mistake

Bummed to read Worth's posts on duck numbers in his home waters and Nevada. It's not good news, when a hunter and bird lover, with a lot of experience tells you the numbers of ducks is way down. Denny Sorry, When I posted that I have seen next to zero ducks in western Oregon, I made...

A few pictures from this season

Michael, Most of the time around 2 dozen. The picture with the boat loaded up was after a diver hunt. It was the quickest and easiest way to get all the gear back to the truck. I had out about 5 dozen divers and a dozen geese (including some full-bodies on the shore). Denny
