    Interesting Gadwall

So true.,The Black duck points are great! Everyone thinks they see a speck of green and white trailing edge and they shot a hybrid. And as you know that's just not true. Here's one of my favorite teal from last year!

    Interesting Gadwall

That's pretty cool Craig. I've never shot a gadwall like that but I've shota few teal l with white rings around their neck. I think there's a lot more variation in ducks then we give them credit for.

    Disturbing Ducks

I agree they sure are. They are really increasing in use con my area of nj that I hunt and after a weekend off running and Gunning a large majority of birds have headed for open waters. It takes them at least till Wednesday or Thursday to settle back in and feed normally.

Which pattern would you rather hunt with?

I hear ya. I’m a nut for gun cleaning and maintenance. I’ve shot just about everything and the only shells my Extrema FTF on is boss. I guess it was just a bad batch.

Which pattern would you rather hunt with?

I like the look of the full pattern, but that’s just me. I recently sold off my remaining boss shells. I had too many FTF primers, as well as being too slow for my liking. After years of shooting faster Steel loads, I had trouble acclimating to the larger leads needed w boss. However, when...

What would the duckboats group do?

Always go for the box! You’ll never regret it.

    Disturbing Ducks

Yeah, I could absolutely see that in a populated area. Where I hunt down the bay there’s not much around, but a few locals that are, although they support duckhunting they are not fans of super loud, mud motors

Traditonal archers - anyone make their own bow?

Ian feir Who was a long time member here, makes his own bows. I’m not sure if he still comes around here but he is on Facebook and Instagram and I see his builds from time to time they were very nice.

    Disturbing Ducks

I would, but it would be hard to enforce. Plus I doubt NJ could ever get it passed.5 AM here sounds like a Harley convention!

    Great to be here.

It’s great to be live on the new site. Thanks Eric for all the hard work you’ve done to keep us up and running. I thought I’d share something a little bit not Duck related. I killed this buck back during our muzzleloader season 10 days ago. I do all the processing myself and although it can be...

    A rare bird indeed

I will never get tired of seeing those beautiful duck hunting photos! I had a friend that hunted for a week on the great Salt Lake last week. Every time he sent me pictures I was just blown away. I love our East Coast salt marshes, but man oh man, you guys sure have some scenery!
