Saw a flock of Ruddy Ducks today also....I am here to talk ducks not have a debate over commercial fishing........

While we were out Fluke (summer flounder) fishing yesterday we saw the first flock of Brant ..about 10 birds plus a lot of Black Duck activity in the marshes of Woodmere....get ready it's right around the corner!

As for the decoy boards......if you notice the recess on the edge....it allows for the board to be put on with a set of hinges ...which is nice also

Gelcoat is a polyester based resin with pigment...you can spray or roll gelcoat...but it must have wax added if you want it to cure to a hard finish

We had a late broadbill season on Long Island back in the mid 80's.....10 bird limit....went until Jan 31

I couldn't eat it....it's like the worms in Cod filet....I gotta pick them all out first.

I shot a Black Duck yesterday which I gut and left it outside in the shed....this morning I started breasting out the birds and this one bird had little white specks thru out the breast meat ...anyone ever see this before?..I took a picture with my phone...if I ever figure out how to post...
