I don't post too much here but thought you guys would like to see my current restore of a Tom Pryer Sneakbox who made Aero Marine sneakboxes on Long Islands western southshore, this is one of his earlier boats. I picked the boat up for free because they guy just wanted it gone. Boat had balsa under the decks and under the floor, and was was super heavy. Split the boat with a sawzall and stripped out all the balsa with a flathead shovel, my hands are full of blisters. Boat is over 150lbs lighter after all the waterlogged balsa was taken out. I always wanted a planing hull sneakbox that was small and lightweight. Next comes adding glass and maybe some ribs but im not too sure yet, and also I am thinking Epoxy might be the best way to go. Enjoy
The day I picked it up....
After the split......
And after its been "Gutted"
