    Natural resource professionals?

Brad, I do enjoy my job thoroughly. I work with a wide variety of people interested in a wide variety of species, and each property is unique. We have had some recent vacancies that would have been promotions into desk jobs, but I have no intentions of pursuing that desk job until physically...

    Natural resource professionals?

From reading some posts here, it's apparent to me that natural resource professionals are well represented here. If you're willing, share what field you work(ed) in, general area, etc. You don't need to mention your agency, as this may violate HR social media policies. I'll lead off- I am a...

    Cast iron? Herters decoy anchors

What about lead anchors? I have 4 doz of these Toal patented anchors, a dozen to a ring. And some mushroom anchors as well. If anyone wants to swap some decoy anchors, I'd be game.

Vince, any idea what a fair trade value would be? I'd list few but I have no idea where to start.

    Lucky Me!

I have a dove wing survey coming for the second year in a row. I guess they figure if someone can follow the directions and not send them half rotten wings they'll keep sending envelopes.

    Cast iron? Herters decoy anchors

If they turn out to be nothing special, I may just use them in my personal carved and canvas rig and give/trade some away.

    Cast iron? Herters decoy anchors

They are all this style, just 2 different sizes. I was tickled to come across these. TN has plenty of duck call history, but is seriously lacking in the decoy and boat history department.

    Cast iron? Herters decoy anchors

I came across a box of these today. They appear to be cast iron, some small ones and some big ones. Hold old are they? Are they at all collectible? Any clue at to value?

I'm guessing it has to do with USCG regulations more than anything.

    Food Plot Work

You need to match the planting to the site- can you control water (keep it out or flood if needed)? When will it dry out? Does it stay dry or reflood frequently? What equipment can you use to plant?

    WRP Levees

I know of a couple here in TN where trees were replanted or levees and structures replaced when they failed. This was at no cost to the landowner. He just needs to keep an eye out for problems. Many folks don't have a clue what to look for in the first place but it sounds like yall are on top of it.

    WRP Levees

On a positive note, NRCS should pay for controlling invasive plants should they show up since the hold the management rights.

Drone Surveying of Some Local DU Projects

Some of our wetland managers in West TN are using them to scout for beaver dams that are causing flooding so they know where to go to remove them. Much of this ground is nearly impassable, especially once the beavers have their way with it.

    WRP Levees

You should be okay then since the trees aren't in yet. Here in TN, they take these agreements pretty seriously, and if it isn't in writing, you can't do it. This extends as far as mowing between the trees after they are planted. Each state and region handles things a little differently. Just...

    WRP Levees

You have to fully understand the purpose of WRP- it's not for duck holes, it's for wetland restoration. Permanent water is a part of every one I've been involved with in TN. This is to make sure the amphibians that are reproducing there don't get left high and dry. He needs to get a compatible...
