My friend gave me this the other day. I'm not sure if it's just water logged but it is very very heavy. Is it possible it's not made from cedar? Seems like it has a lot of mahogany but I can't tell with the glass on it. Anyway does anyone know what type of box this is or maybe who the maker is?

I made this light bar to replace my trolling motor i just used a extra plug and added a switch and fuse. I made a mount from a 1 inch thick plastic cutting board. Light bar is very bright and no cold hands.

I think all mud motors suffer from salt water rusting them quickly. I built a log tail for my Sneakbox but it's only a ten foot box and i can take my motor off in a few seconds. Im still testing my motor but its for tide ponds.
