Now here is a dumb-ass move....

that's great. I've had a few good hunts that "way."

    Arrowed my first buck.

feels good. He ran about 120 yards right towards my truck and piled up in the hayfield. Didn't have to drag him an inch!! This is my biggest buck to date, and my first with the bow. My wife bought me the fancy pants new bow last Christmas, and the practice paid off. Now I will be on doe patrol...

    Hybrid boat builders?

Good to know- I think I'd be going cheap and light on these - the design seems good through. I was thinking of going with that design or one of my own that is very similar

With a quick snapping resin I'm thinking 2 weekends with a couple evenings mixed in. A nice quick little layout blind of a boat.

    Hybrid boat builders?

Yes I've been thinking about it. A while. I may just do it next spring, we will see. Things are getting too busy close to bow season and early goose.

    Hybrid boat builders?

Anyone built one of these? I'm not even really thinking of buying plans, I might but I doubt it. Just looking to build a quick/cheap small boat that will strap to the top of the bluebill for a two man trip to shallow waters. paul

cleaning lake scuzz off of aluminum

best product/technique for removal? Our "new" fishing pontoon has algae/scaly crap all over the toons that a power washer does very little for. There are too many products out there that I'm sure are just hype.... Will be trying vinegar/water mix first. I've never owned a boat that lived on a...

    Suggested goose call?

Good to know, I have never used the eastern shoreman, I do like sean manns lower end calls though. It's true, the Canada hammer does seem to work remarkably well.

    Suggested goose call?

Wanting to get a new one - currently use a 20$ RNT goosezilla or a 20$ Canada hammer. I'm no fancy pants goose caller extraordinaire, I know we have lots of guys on here that make calls etc. I could always just replace the reeds, but wheres the fun in that? Paul

    pontoon duck blind users?

Thinking about jumping in the deep end and going for my 4th duck boat, the 4th being a pontoon duck blind - any tips from those of you have had them? size reccomendations and motor suggestions? Will be for hunting with kids and other hunts that call for lots of room. planning on hunting 3-5 on it.

    Devlin bluebill build thread.

Been talking with Tom S lately - got me thinking about this project and how instrumental it has been in shaping my life (I know that's a bit melodramatic) and my ability to face challenges and just get to work figuring them out. One problem at a time. Thanks Tom S for helping me get started.

    12ft Rowing sneak box

Looks great. Would be curious to know the vast array of mathematical equations used to make sure that the user of varying bodyweight in the sneak box does not instantly sink, die, explode, or flare all ducks within 15 nautical miles. Seriously, I do like the boat. Can we, the...
