    Not dad's foamers

Wow those are really nice! Do you put a bottom board on them? How do they float in the chop. Nice work!

Remembering the years by looking at the calls.

Thank you. It’s funny but I hardly ever sell calls, mostly misplace them from time to time. I did sell decoys, and boats but never the calls. Probably because they took up the most space. I noticed you were looking for a Mark Weedman call, I think those calls are so wild! You have to be careful...

Remembering the years by looking at the calls.

Very Nice work! I saw a post by Eric on the ”how to build a Reelfoot call“. I’m not that talented but always feel it’s important to know and understand the work that goes into making, and tuning these calls. I’ll send you a pm in the future. As I got older I started looking for small batch...

Remembering the years by looking at the calls.

Happy birthday! You just reminded me of my DR-85, I had one and it’s probably in one of my field bags in the garage. Or the marsh monstera ate it up and I never noticed. We rarely get bands, and the ones we do get become memories to buy breakfast for those in the blind. We have a blind rule when...

Remembering the years by looking at the calls.

I know this page started with duck boats, and morphed into a lot of other aspects of duck hunting. The carvers corner, what’s on the work bench and more. I recently dug into my pile of calls that stirred so many memories of growing up (and old). All the calls were used at one point in my life...

Arkansas Opener Video from Public Land

Wow! I‘ve been a late morning hunter these days. No crowds, everyone leaves by 9am. I have the philosophy that if I can’t shoot a duck between 10am and 3pm then it wasn’t meant to be. Last time I hunted in Arkansas was with a guide and it sucked because of the way they hunted. I see it’s even...

    Steve Sutton Memories

    A girl and her dog

Dani, That?s a wonderful tribute to a great friend. I remember you getting that troller, it?s sad they don?t last as long. As I read your post I had Chance (the big head chessie) nudging me to say send our condolences. I know those years spent with our buddies are limited, as I will need to...

    Barnegat plans on Mylar

Steve, That must have been where my friends dad got the paper copy. It looks exactly the same. His dad owned a printing shop, so he must have made the Mylar copy. I took the Mylar and made a PDF file, just so I can make a copy or two in the near future. See you at the show.

Hey Steve, Thanks. I didn?t know the Smithsonian did a Mylar copy, that?s good to know. I remember talking with you ar the show a few years back when you were working on the ice scoter. I have one too, but haven?t used it in years. Maybe I?ll see you again this year?
