    February Workbench..............

Thanks Larry! Pat, thank you for the kind words and thats a hell of a bunch to be compare to. I studied a bunch of birds before I drew the pattern. New decoy shop pics

Thank you guys. Yes Steve I have to say your shop was inspirational to a few aspects of my new addition. And a few more in the works. That hull is an estuary and I am planning on getting her back into shape this year. Trying to decide to do new ribs, planks and glass or order an all glass...

    New decoy shop pics

Gentlemen, after a few years of freezing in the winter and sweating in the summer I decided to build a room within my shop to heat and cool. To give me a comfortable work space to carve and paint. Here is what I came up with. My big shop is a 30x40 pole building with no insulation. I...

Gentleman, I believe we need archives and need everyone's help.

Good point Jeff and I feel the same I love the search function, but sometimes I just don't know what I want to look at. Kind of like having a guide with cable. Without it, there's hundreds of channels and I have no idea where to even start. This could be a far fetched idea, just looking for...

Gentleman, I believe we need archives and need everyone's help.

After seeing a post this morning and while visiting with Steve Sanford earlier this month, we talked about how great of a site we have here. Respectful and knowledgable people, stories, and a wealth of information regarding the sport we love and everything that goes along with it. Steve...

suggested wood/cork for a beginning carver

David, what a great gift. Firstly, I'm no expert. I also consider myself in the beginning stages of my carving career. I'd go with what you can get your hands on. Stop by lumber yards and ask around for scraps of pine and cedar. Ideally you'd want them dry but just get anything to start carving...

    Coastal Maine Trip 12/5/2015

Thanks guys. Means a lot. Dave, I was down your way in September. I was wondering if there were many places to duck hunt. While kayaking in lady bird, we had two mallards swim right up to us. I said to my wife, it didn't look like they've been gunned very hard down here lol. John, get...

    Coastal Maine Trip 12/5/2015

This past weekend, my good friend Marc and I set out on our first destination hunt. A coastal Maine eider hunt has been at the top of my bucket list of hunts for some time now and ever since I read Steve Sanfords post last year about hunting with Troy Fields, I knew my plan. I contacted Troy...

    Alrighty y'all I need help

Dani, I know you are looking for a quick easy answer here but, I'd say to run them thorough a table saw if they are to big. If you don't have one I'm sure someone close to you does. Isn't much work, and you can make them any size you want.
