Well our goose season starts soon. Getting my new boat ready.. Testing gopro, scouting new spots, basically getting everything ready now so no surprises when season starts.. Green grass will soon turn brown! Here is the new boat, 13 DuckBoss with 30hp evinrude... test video...

I live on long island.. pretty sure the last owner stopped making them on 2010 others have tried to get parts ect with no response..

thanks for all the nice replies. I have never field hunted for these birds, getting them to commit over water around these parts is quite challenging, they tend to only do so when snow covers the school yards and parks.

Thanks, its amazing how many black ducks I see every time I hunt. I realize they are a prized duck in many parts of the country. You have to be careful here because so many come in you have to be good at identifying before shooting..

i hunted till the beginning of incoming then the ice started coming in and messing with decoys, when we got to 4 corners there were lots of chunks but we managed with no issues..

we were off massapequa, bay is iced pretty good Amityville east.. Im lucky I have the boat in a spot where it rarely ices and can access the hunting grounds in minuets. With tomorrows warm weather and rain things should free up even more..
