    FS: Captains Chair and Pedestal

I recently bought a 17' runabout to use for parts (mainly the 90 yamaha[;)]) for my Pelicano build, and with it came many parts which are in great shape but of no use to me, first being this seat and pedestal combo: Its a Garelick setup, and although I never played with it before I stripped it...

What's on your Work Bench ? JULY 2018

I've been lacking on my posts here a bit..life has a way of getting overly busy at times and I've got a lot up my sleeves for the coming months, but through it all I'm still carving nightly. As always, love seeing everyones work, Chuck, love the organization but clean workspaces scare me as much...

    April Workbench

Dave, Magically the only place glitter did not show up was on the decoy...I've made better parenting decisions before than to let a 3 year old loose with a glitter shaker. lesson learned! Thank you Bill, I also love old school LLB birds. Thanks Steve, I feel your pain on the right sized head...

    JANUARY 2017 - What's on your Workbench ?

This month I have a couple of LLbean rebuilds. First started life as one of those Super magnum Mallards, and since I rarely puddle duck hunt from a boat and those decoys are tanks, I morphed it into my favorite sea duck, a white-winged scoter. I added a chunk of cedar to the forehead, and...

    Lucky (for me) Birthday Bird

Great bird Mike! I have killed a small handful of them over the years here in CT, I'll have to dig up the pics. I would say probably the toughest puddle duck to harvest here in CT, I cant think of any species I've shot fewer of. There was actually one season where we killed them fairly...

    Natural resource professionals?

Jeff, our findings were that bobcat and bear are predating a great number of fawns. I can't remember the exact statistics off the top of my head, but our yearly survival rate of fawns was <30%. Coyotes only killed small handful (<5) over 4 years. Depending on the timing of the first cut of hay...
