DSLR Camera's and duck hunting. How do you guys protect them?

What Hank said. However, it is a given our dogs will find the open case or blind bag to stand over after a retrieve. I highly recommend looking into the personal property rider.

Hand held VHF is this one good enuf?

I have the Std Horizon 851 for the DSC capability. I don't know if you have tried to relay any info to the Coast Guard but they want coordinates not 1/2 mile off Bloody Pt at the mouth of the Eastern Bay. With DSC, after you have registered the radio, your name, boat info and location is...

How many will use a 28 gauge this season?

Just bought 28 ga barrels for my 20 ga 686. Once they're fitted, the 28 on a 20 frame 686 will usurp the BPS 28 I've shot the past couple of seasons. We're trying an ITX load this year in addition to the wildcat hevishot load that has proven deadly on everything from swans to sea ducks.

All you east coast guys, check in when you can!

Lost power @ 1920 last night and not sure when we'll get it back. Lots trees down in neighborhood and golf course. No apparent damage to house but neighbor's car squished by a downed tree. Getting tired of surfing the net with my blackberry.

And yet another project - Burlapping Decoys

Leave them in the attic for two weeks... or better yet, leave them there until September. The burlap is gonna soak up the Kilz so give that time to dry completely, too.

    An Update---

Glad to hear you're doing well. Pretty soon you'll be rid of the walker and crutches. I was estatic the day mine was donated to Goodwill after the second knee replacement. Promise that you'll be careful until you're off the cumadin and, like I mentioned to you before, do your home...

Turning a Parker 1801 into a sea duck boat?

I use my 1801 to sea duck hunt occasionally. I use three anti-fatigue mats on the deck (two forward of console and one behing the leaning post. 40 feet of burlap clamped to the gunwales with three multi-packs of clamps from Home Depot (drape over the motor and work your way around). Leaning post...

    Looking for a New Dog

There are several Boykin Spaniel breeders in your area and these little brown dogs would fit the niche you are exploring. P.S. Don't drink the AWS kool-aid... especicially if it is yellow! ;)

    Sneakbox sized filter/separator?

The filter/separtor serves two purposes: filter out solid particulate matter and coalesce entrained/suspended water. Depending on the filter media, the filters will not allow flow once saturated or cause the water to drop to bottom of filter vessel (which must be drained w/a regular frequency.)...
