    Decoy Carver identification needed

A lot in that bird reminds me of an early ned mayne gunning block. Mainly in the head(relief of the bill) and cheek and crown width, although i don't believe he made any in burnt cork and I've only seen one or two gunners with glass eyes. Really a great find! Ill show it to him when i see him...

    Great Southbay Sneakbox

I am selling my Great Southbay Sneakbox to make room for other projects. Hate to sell and have shot lots of birds out of it. Its 4" inch draft is perfect in the backwater and the whaletail on the back makes it extremely seaworthy and stealthy when used as a layout boat for divers or seaducks. It...

Hello, my uncle has decided to sell a few of his early ned mayne decorative gunnning birds. Cork bodies with pine heads. For those that don't know Ned he is truly one of a kind. He doesn't do many shows, nor can you get him on the phone to get an order in due to his hard hearing. He has been a...

    V boards

Harold Hammond made goose v-boards with about 36" of line to be clipped to the back of a goose decoy. He hunted in water about 30' deep and since it would pull the vboards horizontal instead of vertical they would ride great and wouldn't pull under in heavy tides.

Great birds gents... steve your bird has the softness of an oil bird..and bob i'd love to gun over a few of those shovelors! That rudy is pretty special.. that looks just like the phase plumage we see here in delaware when they come through. iv never seen one in the rust color often depicted.

planting smartweed, sago, and wild rice

I just ordered some smartweed, sago pond weed and wild rice for a few of our honey holes down here. I am worried that i may have planted the sago too deep in one of the areas that was just over the knee. Any idea if it will still take? When we got the sago it looked like the nutlet had already...
