We had a very small turnout this year for our decoy day, but still had some very nice work to show off....
Our winners, Ed Gagne Shoveler was first, and Pete Revicki took second and third with a Black Duck Decoy/urn, and a bufflehead

that was the majority of our entrants...Not sure we will continue next year!!!

Thanks for posting the pictures Bill, I was a good ways down the road before I realized I didn't have my camera along. In case someone questions why I entered a BS Cork brant decoy, it's because you can't vote unless you enter a decoy. As always I had a great time and for a while my decoy was in the top ten, then Pete showed up and it was the top doz. and then someone else showed up, etc. ... Congratulations Ed, very nice "Hollywood"!

As a decoy event it is definitely dying. As we discussed I think we need to incorporate duck boats too, but it's hard unless we get someone in that club to buy into it. We could have sculling races, sneak box rowing and poling events. Shooting trap from the boats &/or ground blinds. They were fun events at at the old ME Lobster Fests, and broadening the appeal should help attendance.

nice decoys ..... You should do more to promote the show.... alot of talent up there... come down to tuckerton and give the jersey boys a scare. nice birds everyone true gunners..

Looks like everyone had a good time. Too bad I couldn't attend but for the second year in a row it conflicted with my trip to Maine. Maybe next year.
 
if i could have gone one of my boats would be in tow. i am not pleased i missed it, as i really enjoyed myself last year and the "relaxed" atmosphere is much better than the cabelas show.
