Bob, Thanks, I was not sure if it was based on the Chapelle garvey plans. Rick Lathrop

Sneakboxs I’ve owned or still own

Did Mark build from a specific plan or make his own? Sailing garveys are rare these days. There is one in the new issue of WoodenBoat. Rick

Bob, Impressive list. You need to add that Sam Hunt to your collection. I would like to see photos of the 1984 Mark Ford Gunning Garvey/ sailing. Rick Lathrop

    BBSB Pond Box Build

SJ, Brass turnbuttons made from half oval stock. I stole idea from a catboat. Steve, There doesn’t seem to be much written about gunning boxes. Chapelle has drawings for one in the Ranger plans. Using the fix seat rowing measurement guidelines from Angus boats I made up a 5” box to get to...

    BBSB Pond Box Build

Steven, My work will not be at your level but I copied your turnbuttons. I initially used some oak half round but didn't like the feeling when sitting on them so I ordered some brass half oval from OnlineMetals and I made brass turnbuttons. Rick Lathrop

    1910 Hulse Sneakbox

Those are some serious angle iron oarlocks. When did outboard motors become so prevalent that sailing features were omitted? I thought post WW2 but seems like earlier. Rick Lathrop

    Sheldrake, 12’ sneakbox

Thanks, I have been thinking of a multi piece hatch cover. I was thinking in sections for ease of storage on board. Use wingnuts and bolts to fasten the parts together for a full length hatch. Rick

    Sheldrake, 12’ sneakbox

I found the old website with photos. I was interested in the hatch cover. It is different then most hatches I have seen. https://web.archive.org/web/20210309120306/http://www.tomsriverseaport.org/sheldrake.shtml

    Great Loop Jon Boat

Congratulations on the achievement, I second Steve's recommendation on Four Months in a Sneakbox. Another sneakbox voyage is F Slade Dale going from NY harbor to Miami in Sheldrake. That is written about in Yachting. https://archive.org/details/sim_yachting_1926-02_39_2
