I am building a planter for a friend. When I cut the 4x4 posts they looked fine, but as I started to mortise the legs I noticed the stock is checking in a few places. My question is what adhesive is going to be the best I do a lot of woodworking, but rarely with cedar and I know if can be finicky.

Happy to report John copper is all painted and hidden from roving scrappers I finally got the proper deck mount hardware and made the hoops for the spray shield. Spray shield will look some thing like this when it is complete...not in musty old burlap.

Paul, If you are looking for a flapper board blind there are lots of ways to attach them to the boat. On my blind I used copper and emt to make a front flip blind Look under new blind in progress. You might also want to look at some of the boats on the it's a duckboat forum thread currently on...

Lived in South Strafford when I was young but ended up in Rochester, VT in high school and that was where I did most of my hunting. We also had a camp on the Hartford Norwich line that was great for deer and upland hunting. Moved to PA in early 90's when things slowed down up there.

D, no the canvas will stay attached and there will be a cover that closes the two sides together. Not sure of the name of the material, will get back with that later, but it is the same stuff dump truck tarps are made of and is very resistant to wind sheer tears...we will see.

Will, with the front flips down you can easily reach the waterline, and there is a little more width than the original blind even with the small "roof" section. There will be plenty of space to pull long lines over the side. And yes the copper is going to get a coat of dura-coat as soon as...

You can shoot at puddle ducks out of the original blind from a seated position, but not divers. the flip down front was an add on suggested by my friend who is going to do the canvas work. Now that I have it on I really like the concept. really light and easy to use.
