so with April first opened tog and winter flounder.
my cousin and i jumped in in niantic yesterday. it was a balmy 45 in the water which is fine with me, the problem came from the vis. i had about 2 ft until 100 ft off shore. i got to the spot and couldn't see my elbow. checked out the new spot (lots of big caves,
and got out.
my buddy now works for North atlantic fisheries commission doing saltwater angler intercepts, and said people were catching a few flounder yesterday, so we decided to get out early this morning before his shift.
it was gusting 60mph and snowing, we just casted out, propped up our rods and sat in the car.
we are going to try again mid week after work, when is winter going to let up?
any of you southern guys getting out on the salt?
